Wireless Road Runner/Wireless Home Networking, and the WiFi technology that it uses, operates in the 2.4 or 5 GHz radio bands. These are the same frequencies used by many cordless phones, microwaves, baby monitors and other wireless devices. At one time or another, all of us have experienced the annoyance of hearing interference or even dropped calls on our home phones or cell phones. With wireless data, this interference can sometimes translate into speeds that are slower than you are used to with Road Runner. Fortunately, the technology continues to improve and there are some simple steps that can minimize the effect of such interference.
