Get Media Smart
Media plays a big part in children's lives. Are you media smart? How about your children or students? Being media smart is sometimes called media literacy, and it means you can access, understand, analyze, evaluate, and create media messages on television, the Internet and other outlets.
Time Warner Cable, CIC and the National PTA have teamed up to create the Media Smart e-newsletter for parents and caregivers. Each issue contains a media literacy tip and recommendations for family-friendly cable programs and websites. Get "media smart" and learn how to manage media in positive and educational ways in school and at home.
