Using the DRC - 400/425 Remote

DRC400/425 Remote
The DRC - 400/425 Remote has been designed to control most TV sets as well your Digital Home Terminal, VCR and auxiliary equipment like DVD players. To learn more about using your remote, choose any of the options below:

*Note: These procedures apply only to the Pioneer and the Scientific Atlanta remotes only. For other brands see their companion instruction booklets.

Turning on Devices

  • To turn on the Digital Home Terminal
    Press . The Digital Home Terminal turns on.
  • To Turn On the TV
    Press and tune your TV to channel 3.
  • To turn on the VCR
    Press . The VCR turns on.
To Change Channels

  1. If you know the channel number, enter the number using the number buttons. Press for immediate tuning.
  2. To go one channel up or down from the current channel, press on the Channel button.
  3. To see the last viewed channel, press .
  4. To see the next channel that you specified as a favorite channel, press .

Adjusting the Volume Level

  1. To increase or decrease the volume, press on the Volume button.
  2. To turn the volume off completely, press .
  3. To restore the volume and continue listening to the program, press again.


Changing Volume Control
You can control the volume of a component through its associated mode (i.e. Through the cable in Cable mode, through the TV in TV mode., and through the Auxilary device in AUX. mode.)

  1. Press and hold the mode key of the device that you want to control the volume until the four mode indicators flash twice. The light of the mode you want should be now be on.
  2. Press and release Volume .
  3. The device's mode light will blink three times, showing that volume control has been transferred to that device.
