1. Can I move my voice-enabled cable modem from one location to another?

The Digital Phone Terms of Service prohibit you from moving your voice-enabled cable modem to a new address. Enhanced 9-1-1 operators will not be able to accurately identify the caller's address in an emergency. If you wouuld like to establish service at a new address, you must call Time Warner Cable.

2. Does Time Warner provide technical support for my Digital Phone service?

Time Warner Cable. To contact us 24/7, call 812-232-5013 or contact us here.

3. Who maintains my Digital Phone modem?

Time Warner Cable. During installation, we’ll upgrade your equipment to the latest technology, and will continue to do so as long as you subscribe to Digital Phone.

4. Do I have to buy any extra equipment?

  No.

5. Do I need a special phone?

No. All standard touch-tone phones – wall-mounted, portable and cordless — work with Digital Phone. Answering machines, fax machines and Caller ID display equipment also work with Digital Phone service.

6. Will my monitored security system work with Digital Phone?

Digital Phone will work with most monitored security systems; with the exception of ”hard-wired” pulse dial alarm system panels. However, similar to traditional phone companies, Time Warner Cable does not install, support, or service monitored security systems. In the event that Time Warner Cable installs and configures Digital Phone with your home security system, we recommend that you contact your alarm system provider to test the proper operation and communication aspects of the alarm system both before and after Digital Phone installation. Digital Phone does not include back-up power and, as is the case with an electric-powered home cordless phone, should there be a power outage, Digital Phone will not be available.

7. Is Digital Phone compatible with Fax Machines and Dial Up?

Fax Machines and Dial Up Internet can work with Digital Phone but not on a consistent basis. It is recommended you retain a second analog line from your current or previous phone company for the purpose of fax and dial up. Time Warner Cable plans to introduce enhancements to Digital Phone in the near future to provide full compatibility with fax and dial up internet.

8. Is Digital Phone compatible with Answering Machines and Caller ID display?

Yes, Digital Phone is compatible with most answering machines and Caller ID display. You must have a Caller ID display to use Caller ID. Remember that Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Waiting ID and Call Forwarding are no additional cost with Digital Phone.

9. Will Digital Phone work with my home network?

  Yes.

10. Will my Caller ID phone with LCR (Low Cost Routing) work with Digital Phone?

You won’t need LCR — a feature on some Sharp, Casio and Panasonic phones — because Digital Phone gives you unlimited long distance calling in Indiana, the United States and Canada for one monthly price as low as $39.95. In fact, the LCR feature may prevent you from making Digital Phone unlimited long distance calls. Check your telephone user manual to turn off the LCR feature.
