ROUNDTABLE GUESTS (Week of 7-14)

Monday 7-14 --  Dan Needles & Bob Brainerd

Dan Needles, otherwise known as “Rain Man” for his encyclopedic sports trivia knowledge, is the Sports Director for WISN-TV 12—the ABC affiliate in Milwaukee.  A Waukesha native, Needles can also be heard weekday mornings as part of the “D-List” on Milwaukee’s ESPN Radio.

Bob Brainerd is a man of many hats in the sports media “business”.  Along with his work for Time Warner Cable Sports as a play-by-play man, you will see him on many sidelines on the local high school, college, and professional scene as a part-time sports reporter for WISN-12 in Milwaukee. 

Tuesday 7-15 --  Dan Needles & Bob Brainerd

Wednesday 7-16 --  Jason Wilde & Matt Salmon

Wilde is an award winning Packers beat writer for the Wisconsin State Journal.  The Milwaukee native, and UW-Wisconsin graduate, also contributes to onmilwaukee.com and various radio shows…including the “World’s Greatest Sports Talk Show”, which can be seen on Time Warner Sports.

Salmon is an on-air producer for Milwaukee’s ESPN Radio, while also announcing some high school sports.  A West Bend native, and UWM graduate, Salmon (otherwise known as “Fish”) has extensive knowledge of the local sports scene.

Thursday 7-17 --  Wayne Larrivee & Jeff Falconio

Larrivee is the play-by-play voice of the Green Bay Packers on Newsradio 620 WTMJ.  After doing Bears & Bulls games for many years, Larrivee will now be starting his 10th season with the Packers Radio Network.

Jeff Falconio can be heard on WTMJ's "Wisconsin's Sports Weekend" with Co-Host Dan O’Donnell. He is also the in-game studio host for the Green Bay Packers Radio Network.  Falconio grew up out of state, but attended Marquette University and has been on radio in the area since 1997.

On the heel’s of announcing one of the biggest trades in Milwaukee Brewers history with their acquisition of CC Sabathia from the Indians, Brewers General Manager Doug Melvin found time to stop by our studio to discuss the 1st half of the season.  Melvin covered the gamut; including the in-depth timeline of the Sabathia trade, the Crew’s 1st half performance, free agency, the 2008 playoffs, Yovani Gallardo’s health, and much more.

WORLD’S GREATEST SPORTS TALK SHOW (Thursday 7pm)

Homer’s guests this week were Packers Hall of Fame Safety LeRoy Butler, Packers Tackle Mark Tauscher and Packers beat writer Jason Wilde, as they all weighed in on the Brett Favre drama. Finally, writer Tom Haudricourt talked about CC Sabathia mania and the Brewers fans.
