The Ohio Cheer and Dance Championship featuring cheer and dance teams from across Ohio is now available on Time Warner Cable Local On Demand Channel 1111. The program originally aired on FSN Ohio and now can be viewed any time, any day by Time Warner Cable digital customers throughout northwest, southeast and central Ohio.
The 58-minute show, produced in November 2006, is co-hosted by AmeriCheer President and Founder Liz Rossetti and WSYX/WTTE anchor Gabe Spiegel. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, this competition showcases the best cheerleaders and dance teams from Ohio. The event features teams in a variety of levels and includes mount, non-mount, pom, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and kick.
Among the area teams featured in the program are Ohio Cheer Force from Hilliard, Step One All Stars from Columbus, Bishop Watterson High School pom team from Columbus and Chillicothe High School Varsity cheerleading team.
To view the “Ohio Cheer & Dance” program, customers may tune to digital channel 1111 and select the “Sports” category. “Ohio Cheer & Dance” is available under the “Recreation” tab. Once selected, customers may play, fast forward, rewind, pause and re-watch the program using the remote control.
