Faster Speeds for TWC Business Services Customers
TWC’s business customers also have access to the new faster speed plans, with speed plans of 100 x 10, 200 x 20 and 300 x 20 as new options. These new options complement the existing tiers of Internet services available for businesses, which also include a symmetrical, fiber-based Internet service that delivers speeds of up to 10 x 10 gigabits per second.
In all, Time Warner Cable is planning to invest almost $60 million in the San Antonio area to bring customers these faster speeds and other service enhancements. Additional components of TWC’s new customer experience with “TWC Maxx” include:
New TV Experience
Along with ultra-fast Internet speeds, “TWC Maxx” includes access to an all-digital TV lineup, which TWC plans to launch throughout the San Antonio area by the end of the year. A 100% digital lineup brings customers better picture and sound and frees up capacity in the network for additional channels, On Demand choices, new features and even faster Internet speeds in the future.
The advanced TV experience also includes an Enhanced DVR, which lets customers simultaneously record up to six different programs, and the ability to save up to 150 hours of high-definition (HD) programming on its 1TB (terabyte) hard drive, which is twice the storage of the largest prior model. Enhanced DVR is currently available in San Antonio.
Rock-Solid Network Reliability
As TWC has committed to new network performance standards companywide, this initiative will include a stringent review and upgrade of every network connection site (referred to as hubs) to ensure optimum service levels are delivered to every neighborhood.
