(New York, NY) - Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) today announced that that digital cable customers now have the opportunity to order select films from the Tribeca Film Festival in the comfort of their homes through Movies On Demand and HD Movies on Demand. The category, entitled Tribeca Film, will feature films shown at this year’s Festival as well as earlier Festival films. The category will be available until June 16. Time Warner Cable’s New York City Region is a first-time Signature Media Sponsor at the Festival.
Some of the films being offered on demand include Brian Hill’s Climate of Change in which Hill takes the viewer around the world to encounter ordinary people taking action in the fight to save our environment. Julien’s Nitzberg’s The Wild Wonderful Whites of West Virginia gives an edgy and often hilarious look into a dying breed of American outcasts while exposing the powerful forces of corruption, poverty, and West Virginia's environmentally and culturally devastating coal mining culture. Other films include sex & drugs & rock & roll by Mat Whitecross, TiMER from director Jac Schaeffer and The Swimsuit Issue from Swedish director Måns Herngren.
