- Company Conducted Exclusive “Red Carpet” Sweepstakes For Customers
New York, NY – April 27, 2010 – Time Warner Cable’s NYC Region announced that digital cable customers have the opportunity to order select films which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in the comfort of their home through Movies On Demand Channel 1000. The category, entitled Tribeca Film, will feature films shown at this year’s Festival as well as earlier Festival films. Time Warner Cable’s NYC Region is a first-time Signature Media Sponsor at the Festival. Time Warner Cable sponsored and will participate in several events throughout the Festival, and offered customers an exclusive sweepstakes for tickets to the red carpet experience.
Time Warner Cable customers had the opportunity to enter a red carpet exclusive sweepstakes where six grand prize winners were named: Armando Arellano from Rego Park, Queens; Eduardo Ramos from Woodside, Queens; Stella Serpa from Fort Lee, NJ; and three Manhattanites, James Doherty, Gail Graves and Soomi Ro. Each customer received dinner for two at the Palm Restaurant-Tribeca and VIP passes for a day at the Festival which allowed all-day access to general film screenings, panels, and red carpet premieres. Thirty runners-up received VIP passes for select days. Also, recent Movies On Demand users were eligible for a chance to receive free general screening tickets to the Festival via a special invitation.
Time Warner Cable will celebrate the biggest family party of the year on May 1st at the Family Festival Street Fair on Greenwich Street, north of Chambers Street from 10AM to 6PM. Attendees can visit the Time Warner Cable tent to meet the fast and friendly Road Runner and participate in several child-friendly activities. Also, the company provided snacks to Festival-goers who visited the company’s tent during the three-day Tribeca Drive-In screening series April 22-April 24 at the World Financial Center Plaza, Battery Park, where attendees watched the premiere of BIG, Birth of Big Air and Spirit of Salsa.
