Concert Proceeds to Benefit Cable Positive’s NY Chapter’s Charitable Efforts On Behalf of Those Impacted by HIV and AIDS

New York, NY September 12, 2006 Music Choice, the leading multi-platform music network, today announced a benefit concert event featuring an exclusive acoustic performance by the Barenaked Ladies. The sold-out, invitation-only event, benefiting the charitable efforts of Cable Positive’s NY Chapter on behalf of those impacted by HIV and AIDS, will be held at the Music Choice HD studios in NYC on September 14th. The Barenaked Ladies' acoustic performance will feature a set of fan favorites along with new songs from the band's forthcoming album "Barenaked Ladies Are Me," which hit streets on September 12th. Attendees will get a chance to meet the band members during a reception that will follow the performance. A complimentary copy of "Barenaked Ladies Are Me" will also be distributed to all concertgoers. 

Founded in 1988 by singer-guitarists Steven Page and Ed Robertson, Toronto's Barenaked Ladies have sold over 14 million records worldwide on the heels of hits like "One Week," "Pinch Me" and "Brian Wilson." Along the way, they have developed a dedicated following and a reputation as one of North America’s best-loved live acts.
