Customers Assured of Uninterrupted Programming on January 1, 2007

STAMFORD, CT, and HUNT VALLEY, MD, December 31, 2006 – Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Time Warner Cable are pleased to report that they have formally agreed to extend their existing contract until January 12, 2007.  The original carriage agreement was set to expire on December 31, 2006.  The extension will allow Time Warner Cable customers to continue to view the local Sinclair stations while the companies attempt to conclude negotiations for a new long-term carriage agreement.  Both companies hope to reach a mutually beneficial long-term agreement before January 12, 2007.
