New York City, July 20, 2012 – Time Warner Cable today announced that in partnership with independent network leader, Olympusat and its promotional agency Opcion 3 have arranged for Colombian tropical singer-songwriter Paula Zuleta to join the company for the festivities at the 2012 Colombian Day parade on Sunday, July 22. The parade begins at 12:00PM on 69th Street and Northern Boulevard in Jackson Heights, Queens.
Paula Zuleta is best known for her unique rhythms in the tropical music genre and was the lead vocalist in several music groups such as “Son de Azucar” and “Orquesta Canela.” Zuleta also was recently nominated for a Latin GRAMMY in the “Best Contemporary Tropical Album” category for her album “Mezcla Soy.”
Time Warner Cable’s sponsorship of the parade is part of its ‘Enjoy Queens Better’ campaign, celebrating Queens culture and helping local residents enjoy more of the things they love through improvements in the company’s TV, Internet and Home Phone services.
“We’re delighted to work with our network partners like Olympusat/Opcion 3 and to have Paula Zuleta join Time Warner Cable for the 2012 Colombian Day parade in Queens,” said Alessandra Otero-Reiss, Vice President of Multicultural Marketing for Time Warner Cable’s East Region. “Time Warner Cable is proud to continue our support of the Colombian community in Queens. We welcome you to come out and join us in the festivities celebrating the sights, sounds and tastes of Colombian culture.”
