New York, NY (September 1, 2011) – The Broadway Channel has secured an agreement with Time Warner Cable to launch its Broadway Channel programming on Time Warner Cable’s Local on Demand platform, Channel 1111, beginning September 1st. Local on Demand from Time Warner Cable is available to over 1.2 million customers in four New York City boroughs (Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and western Brooklyn), Mt. Vernon, Hudson Valley (Orange, Sullivan, Ulster Counties and parts of Dutchess, Greene and Delaware Counties), and Bergen and Hudson Counties in New Jersey.
The programming will feature Broadway Previews, OFF, and Broadway on Tour content, and will be available as long-form episodes as well as short form theatrical trailers with star interviews. Additional features include Tony Awards coverage, Broadway opening nights, exclusive star interviews and What’s Hot on Broadway, hosted by Broadway Channel’s Maribel Aber. To access, Digital customers can turn to Channel 1111 on Time Warner Cable.
The distribution agreement with Time Warner Cable will enhance distribution of the Broadway Channel family of programming and expand The Broadway Channel® audience. Broadway Channel has a monthly reach of over 35 million households.
