Time Warner Cable Adds More Entertainment and News Channels for Russian-Speaking New Yorkers

Adds Five New Russian Channels to Further Expand Its International Channel Lineup

New York City – Time Warner Cable is now providing Russian-speaking residents in the New York City area with more entertainment and news programming to enjoy. Five new Russian channels and a new TV package, Russian Pass Max, have been added to Time Warner Cable’s expansive international channel line-up. The new channels include:

  • Dom Kino – Treats viewers to Russian movie classics, new arthouse films and the latest TV series, available on Channel 518.
  • Musika Pervogo – Offers a variety of modern Russian music from pop and rock classics to trendy youth styles and time-proven hits, available on Channel 517.
  • Rossiya 24 – A top Russian language news channel, available on Channel 516. 
  • RTR Planeta – Provides a range of Russian programming including Russian entertainment, TV series, shows, documentaries, culture and news, available on Channel 530. 
  • Vremya – Reflecting on Russia’s past, present and future, Vremya features biographic shows about legendary people as well as Russian lifestyle, documentaries and news, available on Channel 520.

The Russian Pass Max package includes a majority of the Russian language channels offered by Time Warner Cable. Dom Kino, Musika Pervogo, Rossiya, RTR Planeta and Vremya channels join the Russian Pass Max package along with Channel One Russia Channel 522, CTC Channel 519, NTV Channel 523, RTN Channel 524, RTN+ Channel 527, RTVi Channel 521 and TV1000 Russian Kino Channel 526.

In addition to Russian Pass Max, Time Warner Cable offers two Russian TV packages. Russian Passport includes Channel One Russia Channel 522, RTN Channel 524, RTVi Channel 521, TV1000 Russian Kino Channel 526. Russian Pass Plus includes all channels in the Russian Passport package and adds CTC Channel 519, NTV Channel 523 and RTN+ Channel 527.

Time Warner Cable’s New York City service area includes Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and western Brooklyn, Mt. Vernon, NY, as well as Bergen and Hudson Counties in New Jersey.

To receive all services, Digital TV and lease of a Digital set-top box are required. An HD TV and HD converter are required to receive these channels. Some services are not available to CableCARD customers. Not all equipment supports all services. Subject to change without notice.
