New York City – As part of a continuing focus on improving operations and customer service, Time Warner Cable today announced new leadership for residential markets within its New York City service area, which includes Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, western Brooklyn, Mt. Vernon, NY, as well as Bergen and Hudson counties in New Jersey. The three new Area Vice Presidents of Operations will report to John Quigley, Regional Vice President of Operations for New York City.
Area Vice Presidents are responsible for the complete customer experience within their Area, including customer service, store and payment center operations, technical operations and the maintenance of the company’s plant. The new operational structure empowers leaders and their teams to quickly identify and correct network or service issues that are unique to their territories.
“I am very pleased to appoint new talented leaders for the New York City market, who will help us continually improve our customer service and reliability of our TV, Internet and Home Phone services,” said Mr. Quigley. “We have a New York City workforce of approximately 4,000 people dedicated to connecting people with information, entertainment and each other. Our new leadership will help ensure that our valued customers receive the high-quality services they deserve.”
Brien Kelley, a 33-year veteran of Time Warner Cable, has been named Area Vice President for Queens and Brooklyn. Mr. Kelley previously managed the company’s more than 1,000 technician workforce in New York City and, among other career highlights, oversaw all operations on Staten Island. His responsibilities in his new role include overseeing investments the company is making to upgrade its network in Queens and Brooklyn, which are increasing the reliability of TV, Internet and Home Phone services.
Anthony Ontiveros has been named Area Vice President for Northern Manhattan, Staten Island, Mt. Vernon and New Jersey. Mr. Ontiveros recently joined the company from RCN with more than 30 years of industry experience. Mr. Ontiveros will work to drive performance standards and be keenly focused on delivering the best customer experience. He will also oversee new procedures that help ensure the on-time performance of technician service visits and new customer installations, among his many other responsibilities.
The final market area within New York City for Time Warner Cable is Southern Manhattan, which the company defines as all areas south of 86th Street. Gregg Cory, an 18-year veteran of the cable industry, joined the company this month as Area Vice President of Southern Manhattan. Mr. Cory began his career as a field technician and rose within the industry, most recently serving as an executive leader for Cablevision’s Hudson Valley and Connecticut service areas. Mr. Cory’s expert knowledge of all business areas will help drive efficiencies to improve services levels for customers in this part of the city.
