Time Warner Cable Invites New Yorkers to Enjoy Intrepid Better

TWC Customers Can Receive Exclusive Discounts to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

New York City – The arrival of the Space Shuttle Enterprise has added new appeal to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum as one of New York City’s hottest destinations. Time Warner Cable is pleased to announce that it will be holding Time Warner Cable Customer Days this November to provide its subscribers with even more reason to visit this iconic museum. Each Saturday this November, Time Warner Cable customers in NYC and NJ who show their bill statement at the Intrepid Museum ticket office will be able to “Enjoy Intrepid Better” through exclusive discounts, including “buy one get one free” ticket deals.

The “Enjoy Intrepid Better” promotion is part of Time Warner Cable’s overall sponsorship of the Intrepid Museum and its Space Shuttle Pavilion to promote the learning of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Studies show that more than half of the fastest-growing jobs are in these fields and Time Warner Cable, through its Connect a Million Minds® initiative, is helping to inspire the next generation of problem solvers by connecting young people to the wonders of STEM.

Time Warner Cable customers will get a free Adult, Youth, Child or Senior general admission to the Museum with the purchase of a full-priced Adult ticket. In addition, Time Warner Cable customers receive special discounts off of the museum’s simulator rides as well as museum store purchases. Connecting More Minds Onboard

Time Warner Cable employee volunteers will also be at the Intrepid Museum on November 10 to engage young people to participate in a series of fun Connect a Million Minds (CAMM) activities. A stand-alone kiosk at the Intrepid Museum will encourage adults to take the CAMM pledge: which commits a person to bringing the wonders of STEM to at least one young person. Time Warner Cable’s goal is to expose over one million young people to the opportunities an education in STEM can bring them.

Time Warner Cable’s sponsorship of the Intrepid Museum was announced in July in conjunction with the arrival of Space Shuttle Enterprise to the aircraft carrier’s flight deck. The sponsorship also includes the shuttle’s new home inside the Space Shuttle Pavilion and use of the museum as a venue for Time Warner Cable events and community outreach initiatives.
