MORRISVILLE, N.C. (October 3, 2011) – Time Warner Cable has announced plans to expand its Technical Operations Center in the Triangle area (Morrisville, NC). The company will add more than 20 professional technical jobs to its Morrisville facility at 101 Innovation Avenue by the first quarter of 2012. The newly expanded center will perform round-the-clock network management and monitoring across Time Warner Cable’s Carolinas operations.
The Carolinas Technical Operations Center will provide management and monitoring for Time Warner Cable networks from the neighborhood to the individual customer. By centralizing this critical network management function, Time Warner Cable will ensure superior network reliability, performance and quality for more than 2 million residential and business customers across the Carolinas. Through technically advanced network monitoring and quality control, Time Warner Cable will also be able to troubleshoot and resolve network issues faster, often before they affect customers.
“Time Warner Cable is proud to announce the addition of these network management jobs to the Triangle area, which is already a hotbed for high-tech economic development,” said Darrel Hegar, Regional Vice President of Operations for Time Warner Cable in the Carolinas. “Our new Carolinas Technical Operations Center builds on our strong investment in technology and talent and will help ensure a better experience for our residential and business customers.”
Time Warner Cable currently employs more than 1,700 greater Raleigh-area residents and more than 6,400 across North Carolina.
