CINCINNATI – August 9, 2007 – Attention sports fans! Just in time for football season, ESPNU and ESPN2 HD will be on your Time Warner Cable channel lineup starting August 29.
ESPNU will be part of Digital Value Tier on channel 110. ESPN2 HD, on channel 976, is on the High Definition Standard Tier; which is available to all TWC standard customers with an HD TV at no additional charge.
ESPNU will show 70 college football games this year, as well as men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse, ice hockey, wrestling and more. ESPNU also offers comprehensive studio programming and replays of ABC Sports, ESPN and ESPN2 games. In addition, ESPNU has a wide-ranging, long-term agreement with the NCAA that calls for extensive coverage of numerous NCAA Championships, including sports from each of the three college seasons.
To accommodate these new channels and make room for future additions, several channels have been assigned new channel positions. The channels affected include ESPN Classic, AZN and Outdoor Channel. Changes will vary widely among communities and among customers, depending on level of service. All Time Warner Cable customers will receive detailed information of the changes affecting their cable channel lineup. Channel lineup information will be available on The TV Guide Channel (where available) and the On-Screen Guide.
