Programming Directed to Jewish Community Now Available On Demand

Time Warner Cable in Kansas City has added Shalom TV to its On Demand programming. With a wide variety of programming designed for the Jewish community, Shalom TV content is available on Entertainment On Demand, channel 126. Viewers should select the Shalom TV tab to locate a list of current programs.

Shalom TV features expert analysis and coverage of news events, feature films and documentaries, exclusive interviews with Israeli and American Jewish leaders, and programs on Jewish life. The network also offers original productions for Jewish children, lessons on reading and understanding Hebrew, and series on Talmud study and Kabbalah. It is the exclusive broadcaster of entertaining presentations from the 92nd Street Y in New York, City.

Fifteen hours of Shalom TV programs are always available with frequent replacements to refresh the content. Altogether, some 30 to 45 hours of unique programming will be offered each month. The content is divided into four categories including Judaism and Culture, News and Israel, Shalom Center, and Movies.

Based in metro New York City, Shalom TV is the first full-time Jewish television service in the country, according to network president Rabbi Mark S. Golub. Its content is designed to provide viewers with a way to enhance their connections to Jewish life, the State of Israel, and the Jewish tradition.
