New Jersey – October 30, 2007 – Time Warner Cable and the Bergen News are partnering again to host their annual Food Campaign to benefit the Center for Food Action. The Center for Food Action in New Jersey has been working with individuals and families in crisis for over 30 years to prevent hunger and homelessness. From their seven sites in Bergen and Passaic Counties, they provide emergency food, advocacy, rent and utility assistance for neighbors in need. This marks the 19th year Time Warner Cable and the Bergen News are collaborating on this community project.
“This program has become a meaningful partnership in our community, and Time Warner Cable employees are eager to once again work with the Bergen News to host this campaign,” stated Brien Kelley, General Manager, Time Warner Cable of New York and New Jersey. “Each year, we are overwhelmed by the generous support of our customers, employees and community as we band together to help those in need.”
Food items requested include powdered milk, cold and hot cereal, canned pasta in sauce, canned meat, rice, peanut butter and jelly, canned fruit, toiletries and paper goods. A complete list of items can be found at www.cfanj.org.
The campaign will be conducted from November 1st to November 16th, Monday to Friday, between 8:30AM until 5:00PM. All non-perishable grocery items are being collected at:
