New York, NY, July 6, 2012 – Time Warner Cable today announced that football fans across New York City can interact with Victor Cruz at appearances the New York Giants star wide receiver will make in Queens in July as part of the release of his new memoir, Victor Cruz: Out of the Blue. Time Warner Cable is bringing Cruz to the Queens Theatre on July 13 for an interactive discussion with the audience about the book, which details his personal story of overcoming numerous life setbacks. On July 20, the company has arranged for Cruz to hold a book signing event at the Queens Center Mall near the Time Warner Cable store.
Time Warner Cable will provide the first several hundred people at each event with a complimentary copy of Victor Cruz: Out of the Blue.

New Yorkers interested in attending the free event at the Queens Theatre must first pre-register by visiting http://www.timewarnercablevictorcruz.eventbrite.com. A printout from this online reservation system is required as a ticket for entry. The venue will open at 1:30PM and guests will be treated to a lobby beverage service before Cruz takes the stage at approximately 2:30PM. The discussion will be moderated by Budd Mishkin, who is the host and reporter for NY1’s weekly profile series, “One On 1 with Budd Mishkin.” The event will conclude at 4PM.
Queens Theatre is located at Flushing Meadows Corona Park at 14 United Nations Avenue and, for those arriving by subway, the theatre will run shuttle buses from the Mets-Willets Point (Citifield) station before and after the event.
The book signing event on July 20 will take place from 5 – 7PM inside the Queens Center Mall on the Lower Level courtyard near the Time Warner Cable store. Prior to this date, Time Warner Cable will announce via its Twitter handle (@TWCable_NYC) that customers can visit the store to receive a wristband that gives them access to an express line on the day of the event.
The two events are part of Time Warner Cable’s “Enjoy Queens Better” campaign that are providing the borough with improved TV, Internet and home phone services, as well as better customer service. Enjoy Queens Better also includes a unique marketing campaign that celebrates the borough’s rich culture and diversity.
