TIME WARNER CABLE BEGINS TESTING CISCO TUNING ADAPTER

Expects to Begin Making Tuning Adapters Available Beginning December 2008

Time Warner Cable has begun testing the Cisco Tuning Adapter in its Austin Texas Division. The tuning adapters will allow CableCARD? subscribers to access digital cable channels delivered using switched technology.  The Tuning Adapters are intended to work on any Unidirectional Digital Cable Ready Product (UDCP) that has a USB connector and necessary firmware. 

Upon completion of this test, Time Warner Cable will begin making the tuning adapters available in all markets where it has launched switched digital technology.   Time Warner Cable will notify their CableCARD? subscribers when the adapters become available in their areas.   Interested Time Warner Cable subscribers can sign up to receive a tuning adapter at http://www.timewarnercable.com/tuningadapter.
