Time Warner Cable, Big Ten Network invite Husker Fans to Show Their Pride

LINCOLN - (September 29, 2011) –Time Warner Cable and BTN are helping fans color their neighborhoods red by providing 15,000 special-edition Husker yard signs for pick-up at seven Time Warner Cable locations throughout Nebraska.

The joint promotion, which provides one free sign per TWC household, will begin Monday, Oct. 3, giving Husker fans time to get their signs in advance of Nebraska’s first Big Ten Conference game Oct. 8 against Ohio State at Memorial Stadium.

“The excitement is building in the days leading up to Nebraska’s first Big Ten home game, and Time Warner Cable wants to help Husker fans celebrate,” said Scott Miller, area vice president of operations for Time Warner Cable. “Many of our employees are Husker fans too, and we’re thrilled to help paint the town red and show the visiting Big Ten fans what Husker Nation is all about.”

“We’re excited that Nebraska is now part of the Big Ten Conference and we want to help Husker fans show their pride,” said BTN Vice President of Marketing Erin Harvego. “These special-edition yard signs are a great way to celebrate Nebraska’s first Big Ten home game.”

In Lincoln, signs are available for pick-up at the Time Warner Cable store at 5400 S. 16th St. between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The following TWC locations are all open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: York (114 W. 6th St.); Auburn (1304 Courthouse Ave.); Fairbury (506 C St.); Falls City (1816 Stone St.); Nebraska City (512 Central Ave.); Fremont (1780 East 23rd St.); and Columbus ( 2453 39th Ave).

BTN is available to Time Warner Cable standard service tier customers on channels 24 and 333 and in high-definition on channel 1333. BTN Extra 1 on channels 334 and 1334 and BTN Extra 2 on channels 335 and 1335 are also available when games air simultaneously to ensure fans can watch all the games in their entirety. Customers who receive BTN in their channel lineup can also enjoy the BTN2GO website and mobile applications.
