Columbia, SC (August 17, 2012) – A new season of Time Warner Cable’s Game of the Week kicks off Friday, August 17th with more game coverage of the best high school football matchups of public and private schools rivalries across the state.  The programming is available at no charge to Time Warner Cable’s digital customers post-event on Carolina On Demand.

“Only Time Warner Cable brings you statewide games throughout the season right through the playoffs and championship game in December,” says Jason Lockhart, Carolina On Demand manager. “From instant replays to colorful commentary, you won’t miss a single play.”

In order to show great matchups, a decision on which local games to carry will be made about a week in advance.  The Game of the Week will be announced via area newspapers, radio stations and through Time Warner Cable’s Twitter (@TWCCarolinas) accounts.  A total of 14 games from the season will be featured, as well as playoffs and championships.

The games will be recorded live each Friday and available for playback early the following week on Carolina On Demand, Channel 199 or 1047. Digital cable customers can watch the games on Carolina On Demand free of charge at a time that is convenient for them.

August 24
South Pointe @ Blythewood

August 30
Lower Richland @ Dreher

September 7
Greenwood @ Irmo

In addition to coverage on Carolina On Demand, Time Warner Cable will also feature game highlights and behind the scenes interviews on Carolina On Demand’s Facebook page.
