Innovative New Phone Product Increases Productivity While Reducing Costs

Release Date: 05/15/2009

Time Warner Cable Business Class (TWCBC) is expanding its footprint by 50 percent in Greater Kansas City and offering mid-sized businesses a new, reliable and cost effective option for business telecommunications, with the launch of a new telephone solution.

Delivered over TWCBC’s wholly-owned, fiber optic network, Business Class PRI uses the latest in IP technology to support up to 23 simultaneous voice calls on each two-way trunk, while enabling businesses to retain their existing PBX equipment and telephone numbers. Unlimited local calling is included with the service, as is Caller ID at no additional charge.

“With Business Class PRI, we are now able to provide a complete and reliable communications solution for larger businesses that includes voice, data and cable TV,” said Mike Lee, Time Warner Cable Vice President of Commercial Services. “Our data and voice bundle ensures cost efficiencies for our customers, backed by our award-winning customer service.”

Business Class PRI is the latest voice service offering from TWCBC, the business-to-business arm of Time Warner Cable. TWCBC also offers telephone service to small businesses, via its Business Class Phone product.

TWC Business Class products will soon be available to a dramatically increased number of Kansas City area businesses thanks to millions of dollars being invested in local infrastructure expansion this year.

“We have received a lot of feedback from customers about the need for a comprehensive, local and advanced alternative solution to today’s existing communication services,” said Time Warner Cable Director of Public Affairs Damon Porter. “TWCBC has responded by expanding our footprint by 50 percent and rolling out Business Class PRI, which cost-effectively delivers increased productivity. We also have doubled the number of local account managers serving Business Class customers.”

The local account representatives are available to help a business analyze its needs and create a tailored communications solution.

Time Warner Cable Business Class offers a full suite of scalable communications solutions designed exclusively for business – phone, data, security, video products and fiber-based services, including Metro Ethernet solutions, dedicated Internet access, teleworker and branch office solutions and managed security and storage. Customers have the peace of mind of knowing that a dedicated, local service team is available 24/7 to provide account management, technical support, and a team of experienced field technicians.
