LAS VEGAS (March 10, 2008) –Time Warner Cable Business Class, the business-to-business arm of Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC), announced today the launch of its Partner Program. The Program is designed to provide select national and regional telecom agents, value-added resellers (VARs), and systems integrators with the resources and support to sell the company’s robust portfolio of IP-based data and voice communications services to customers in the small- and medium-sized business (SMB) and enterprise markets.
Time Warner Cable made the announcement at the Spring 2008 Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, where it is showcasing its Partner Program in Booth 1528-1530, today through March 12 at the Rio All-Suite Casino.
The company also announced that it has signed on a prominent new partner, World Telecom Group, a premier master agent recently named one of the Top 50 Channel Programs by Phone + Magazine.
"With the Time Warner Cable portfolio, we will be able to reach a much larger area of the United States. That’s important, because many of our Agents focus on selling multi-location virtual private networks” said Vince Bradley, President & CEO, World Telecom Group. “We are very excited to be joining the Partner Program and working with Time Warner Cable."
“Master agents, VARs, and systems integrators build their reputations by offering best-in-class products, services and support for their customers,” said Ken Fitzpatrick, Senior Vice President, Time Warner Cable Business Services. “We believe our industry-leading services – including our fiber-based Metro Ethernet capabilities – and our strong commitment to this sales channel make us an attractive choice for agents nationwide.”
Extending its reach through indirect sales channels will prove to be advantageous for both TWCBC and its channel partners in a fast-growing and highly-competitive business communications marketplace, according to Yankee Group analyst Steve Hilton.
“Adding TWCBC, a formidable provider with enhanced capabilities, gives agents and integrators new choices for their customers,” said Hilton. “And Time Warner Cable is smart to venture into indirect sales channels, as it will broaden its presence among enterprise-sized customers while furthering growth in its traditional SMB space.”
In addition to the signing of World Telecom Group, TWCBC has had longstanding partner relationships with a number of companies, including Tech II Business Services Inc. and VARO, both based in New York.
“Time Warner Cable’s products are reliable and fast, and that’s important in our business,” said Pete Farley, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Tech II. “Our reputation is on the line every time we recommend a provider, and I’m always comfortable recommending them.”
