New York City, April 19, 2012 – Time Warner Cable today announced that it is bringing its “Enjoy Better” campaign to the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival, as the Signature Media Sponsor, providing passionate movie and sports fans unique opportunities to experience red carpet photo events, sample movie snacks from celebrity chefs and be a part of favorite sports moments.
During the first week of the film festival, April 19th – 21st, Time Warner Cable is providing the ultimate experience for attendees of the free, classic outdoor Tribeca Drive-In movie screening series taking place at the World Financial Center Plaza. Guests will be treated with free snacks made by celebrity chefs, a red carpet photo experience and appearances by popular television stars and cartoon characters. Expected celebrity chefs will include Aaron Sanchez (April 19) from Food Network, Chef Roble (April 20th) and David Burke (April 21) from David Burke Kitchen in SoHo. Feature films to be played during the Tribeca Drive-In will be Jaws (April 19), Goonies (April 20) and Knuckleball (April 21).
Additional appearances at the Time Warner Cable booth during the Tribeca Drive-In will include fashion designer Austin Scarlett from Lifetime’s Project Runway All Stars and EB and Carlos from the movie HOP on April 19, while Alvin and the Chipmunks will be on-site on April 20. Actor Wilmer Valderamma from NUVO TV’s Pastport and Super Why & Wonder Red from Sprout will greet guests on April 21.
On April 28 during Tribeca/ESPN Sports Day, attendees can also stop by the ESPN locker experience “lockers” for a chance to win cool prizes and also enter to win a YES Network baseball experience and signed NETS memorabilia. The Tribeca/ESPN Sports Day is located at the Northwest Corner of North Moore and Greenwich streets.
Customers not able to attend the festival can still enjoy it by watching Tribeca Film Festival movies and exclusive content On Demand through the Tribeca Film category, located on Channel 1000 on Time Warner Cable.
