Free Ticket Giveaway Part of ‘Enjoy Better’ Campaign from Time Warner Cable

New York City, June 26, 2012 – Time Warner Cable will hold a ticket giveaway for its customers to watch Columbia Pictures’ highly anticipated motion picture, The Amazing Spider-Man™, before it hits theaters nationwide on July 3rd. Beginning Wednesday, June 27, Time Warner Cable will give away tickets for New York City-area customers to attend an exclusive 3D screening of the movie on the evening of July 2 at the Regal E-Walk Stadium theatre in Times Square.

“We’re excited that our customers have the opportunity to be among the first to watch The Amazing Spider-Man,” said John Quigley, Time Warner Cable’s Regional Vice President of Operations for New York City. “These tickets are sure to go fast, so Spider-Man fans should come to our stores early for a chance to secure free tickets to the July 2 screening.”

Time Warner Cable residential customers in good standing can pick up a pair of tickets per account beginning the morning of Wednesday, June 27, at the following Time Warner Cable retail store locations (tickets will be given out on a first come - first served basis while supplies last, valid photo ID must be presented):

• Queens: The Time Warner Cable store located inside the Queens Center Mall (90-15 Queens Blvd), which opens at 10AM.
• Staten Island: The Time Warner Cable store located at 2845 Richmond Avenue. The store opens at 9AM.

• Manhattan: At both Time Warner Cable stores in Manhattan, located at 46A East 23rd Street (between Park Ave. South & Broadway) and 2554 Broadway (at 96th Street). Both stores open at 8AM.

Customers who visit the store locations will also be able to receive special The Amazing Spider-Man branded ear buds, while supplies last. Moviegoers to the special screening on July 2 will be treated to complimentary snacks and will be given gift bags.

Time Warner Cable’s New York City footprint serves over 1.3 million customers in four New York City boroughs (Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and western Brooklyn), Mt. The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field).  Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today.  Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets.  As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father’s former partner.  As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero. The Amazing Spider-Man has been rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America for Sequences of Action and Violence.
