New location to feature Capital News 9 bureau

Time Warner Cable will hold a Grand Opening for its newest cable store in Clifton Park Center on Tuesday, July 15.  Activities planned for the Grand Opening on July 15 from noon to 9 p.m. include raffle giveaways, special promotions for service upgrades, photo opportunities with our life-sized Road Runner and more.  On Friday, July 18, anyone visiting the store from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and upgrading to a Time Warner Cable All The Best package will receive a free signed copy of Capital News 9 Getaway Guy Mike O’Brian’s new book “The Getaway Guy: Road Trip Getaways With Mike O’Brian.”

This new retail store, equipped with HDTVs, Digital Video Recorders, computers and phones, and connected to Time Warner Cable’s advanced fiber optic network, will enable visitors to sample Time Warner Cable’s High-Definition, DVR, High-Speed Data, wireless internet  and Home Phone services, and allow customers to ask questions, make payments for Time Warner Cable services, upgrade equipment, and order services. The store will also serve as an auxiliary bureau for Capital News 9 -- Time Warner Cable’s 24-hour local news channel.

“We’re exited about the opportunity to showcase our products while offering an additional and convenient means to service our customers,” said Mark Dunford, President of Time Warner Cable’s Albany Division. “The presence of Capital News 9 will complement our other five news bureaus and highlight our commitment to provide local news and programming.”

Capital News 9 reporters will have the ability to go live from the store location 24/7 and report directly from the Clifton Park Center.
