Charlotte, NC - Within three months, Time Warner Cable has opened two multi-million dollar office buildings in North Carolina. A ribbon cutting was held today at the Raleigh Operations Center in Morrisville. “Constructing two state-of-the-art facilities for our employees further solidifies Time Warner Cable’s commitment to North Carolina,” said Mike Munley, president of network operations. “As the communities in which we live and work continue to grow, these campuses provide us with the opportunity to expand our operations in the coming years.”
Both buildings are expected to receive a LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council, showcasing Time Warner Cable’s dedication to seek more efficient ways to build. “Building green office facilities not only protects the environment, it also creates a healthy work environment for our employees,” said Jim Jeffcoat, senior vice president of corporate services.
The four-story Raleigh Operations Center is more than 160,000 square feet. "We are truly excited to bring employees from multiple operations around the Triangle into one facility,” said Chris Whitaker, vice president and general manager for Time Warner Cable Raleigh. “Consolidating our operations into one location will ultimately allow us to serve our customers even more efficiently.”
The new Charlotte building is located in the Charlotte Corporate Campus at 7820 Crescent Executive Drive. The four-story building, which opened in May, is more than 103,000 square feet. The expansion in Charlotte was made possible in part by a Job Development Investment Grant from the State of North Carolina. The performance-based grant was awarded in 2008 to support the company’s commitment to add 200 jobs paying an average salary of $70,375, significantly higher than the Mecklenburg County average.
