KANSAS CITY – Time Warner Cable and the Kansas City Chiefs are joining together to help fans relive the greatest moments in Chiefs history inside the Hall of Honor at the New Arrowhead. The Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Honor presented by Time Warner Cable will allow fans to celebrate the legendary players, greatest teams and thrilling episodes from both the Chiefs and the National Football League.
“From Len Dawson and Buck Buchanan to Derrick Thomas and Neil Smith, the Chiefs have excited Kansas City football fans for nearly a half century, and we’re thrilled to be a part of bringing that tradition to life inside the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Honor presented by Time Warner Cable at the New Arrowhead,” said Dan Wright, Group Vice President of Operations for Time Warner Cable Kansas City. “It’s a privilege to work with the Hunt family to honor the outstanding players, coaches and teams of the Chiefs over the years and pay tribute to the commitment to community inspired by the late Lamar Hunt.”
The Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Honor presented by Time Warner Cable, located on the lower level concourse of the stadium, will allow fans to recall the rich history of the franchise. Exhibits will include the team’s Lombardi Trophy from Super Bowl IV, the original American Football League trophy and other artifacts from significant events throughout the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Honor presented by Time Warner Cable will also salute the creation of the AFL led by Lamar Hunt and feature a virtual locker room highlighting the Chiefs Hall of Famers. Video and interactive displays will also allow fans to enjoy the team’s unforgettable moments and experience the energy that has given the Chiefs the NFL’s best homefield advantage. The Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Honor presented by Time Warner Cable will be open to all fans in attendance on game day as well as open to the public throughout the year for fans to tour.
“Our newly formed partnership with Time Warner Cable will bring 50 plus years of Chiefs history to life via the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Honor presented by Time Warner Cable”, stated Chiefs COO Mark Donovan. “Time Warner Cable’s partnership also includes the designation of ‘The Official Video Provider of the Chiefs’ as well as live, on-site pregame show TV broadcasts before each Chiefs home game on Metro Sports. We believe this is a great example of a partnership that will provide another level of entertainment on game day for our fans in the New Arrowhead and those viewing at home.”
“Game day at the New Arrowhead is an essential part of Kansas City’s community pride and identity,” Wright said. “At Time Warner Cable, we share that sense of community with the Hunt family, and we’re excited to be a part of what we believe will be a true treasure and can’t miss experience for Kansas City.”
As the Official Video Provider of the Chiefs, Time Warner Cable will deliver expanded coverage of Chiefs programming during the 2010 season from training camp to the postseason. In addition to the most in-depth Chiefs coverage available on local TV, Time Warner Cable’s Metro Sports will offer a live pregame show from the New Arrowhead and other special programming such as a guided tour through the New Arrowhead and an insider look behind the scenes of key Chiefs programs and events.
