(Dayton, Ohio) October 18, 2007 – Starting today, Time Warner Cable (TWC) is offering both A&E HD and The History Channel HD on its lineup of high definition channels bringing the total number of HD channels to 23.  The new channels are part of the HD Standard tier on channels 750 and 751 respectively.  The HD Standard tier is available at no additional charge to all Time Warner Cable customers who subscribe to standard service or above and have a high definition television and high definition converter. 

A&E HD features high definition simulcasts of the A&E Network providing viewers with diverse programming spanning entertainment, real life, lifestyle, and drama -- all in the premium HDTV format. A&E HD will feature the sought after series The Sopranos, CSI: Miami as well as popular network real life series including Gene Simmons Family Jewels, The First 48, and Dallas Swat.

The History Channel HD simulcasts the entire The History Channel lineup of original, non-fiction series and specials. The HD experience creates a stunning new dimension for the powerful storytelling that only The History Channel can provide.  The History Channel HD will feature the hit series Ice Road Truckers, The Universe, Human Weapon, Lost Worlds, UFO Hunters, Digging for the Truth, Cities of the Underworld and Mega Disasters, as well as thought-provoking specials such as The Lost Book of Nostradamus, 1968 With Tom Brokaw and Life After People.
