Kansas City, MO (December 30, 2011) – Time Warner Cable (TWC) announced today that it has launched ESPN 3D on its channel lineups in Kansas City. The channel, which is part of the Time Warner Cable 3D Pass, is located on TWC channel 1805 and can be purchased by calling (816) 358-8833.
ESPN 3D will broadcast 85 live events in 2012 including coverage of some of the biggest events in sports. The network will broadcast 14 NBA Games, the BCS National Championship Game and other events through industry leading technology. The network will also broadcast the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ appearance in the Capital One Bowl against South Carolina on Jan. 2 in 3D.
In addition, ESPN 3D will broadcast select NCAA college basketball games, additional NCAA college football games next fall, the X Games and the Winter X Games, among other things.

To purchase and view ESPN 3D programming, TWC customers will need to:
- Have a 3D television purchased after March 2010 and compatible 3D glasses.
- Have a compatible set-top box (all of TWC’s newest digital set-top boxes and DVRs are 3D compatible; older boxes can be exchanged at no charge).
- Have a HDMI connection from their set-top box to their 3D TV.
- Subscribe to the Time Warner Cable 3D Pass by calling (816) 358-8833.
Viewers with a 3D TV can also experience the 123rd Tournament of Roses Parade in breathtaking HD on Jan. 2. The parade coverage starts at 10 a.m. Monday on channel 1800, and is available for free to TWC customers with qualifying equipment who receive HGTV as part of their video service.
