Time Warner Cable launches four new channels in Newark

Time Warner Cable Mid-Ohio Division President Rhonda Fraas today announced the launch of ABC affiliate WSYX HD and Fox affiliate WTTE HD, as well as MyNetwork TV and NBC Weather Plus to its Digital Cable lineup in Newark.  WSYX HD is available on channel 706, WTTE HD is available on channel 728, MyNetwork TV is available on channel 92 and NBC Weather Plus is available on channel 80.

WSYX HD offers select ABC programming like Lost, Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives in this exciting high definition format.  WTTE HD offers select Fox programming like American Idol, House and Prison Break.

MyNetwork TV offers English-language telenovelas with their own original storylines and characters.  The network launched in September 2006 with two series, Desire and Fashion House.  Two more series, Watch Over Me and Wicked Wicked Games premiered in December.  A Dangerous Love and Rules of Deception are scheduled to premiere in March.  New episodes air Mondays through Fridays from 8 to 10pm with summary shows airing each weekend that recap the weekly storylines.  These series air in continuous cycles of thirteen-week seasons.  When one series ends, another unrelated series begins the following week.

NBC Weather Plus offers local weather in addition to detailed reports delivered directly from favorite local NBC weather personalities. With a network of over 1,000 local reporters and meteorologists in more than 200 markets, NBC Weather Plus always has local and national weather news covered 24 hours a day, even during commercials.
