New York, NY  - Time Warner Cable is adding value for subscribers to the Vutopia movie service by including access via web-connected PC and Mac computers and laptops across its footprint. The Vutopia service allows subscribers to enjoy instant access to hundreds of movies and trailers on either their set-top boxes in their homes or online anywhere in the US.

Vutopia is a movie service available at no additional cost to Time Warner Cable MoviePass customers.  MoviePass is a collection of movie services, both linear and On Demand, featuring over 500 hours of film from almost every genre. Other movie services in MoviePass include the Encore channels, Fox Movie Channel, Disney Family Movies and FearNet.

Vutopia is the Video On Demand movie service which launched in 2010, and now offers hundreds of commercial-free, recent and classic movies available to watch anytime, including Hollywood favorites, independent films and documentaries from around the world. About 300 titles are available both on subscribers’ televisions as well as online, with new titles added each month.
Vutopia has recently refreshed its movie content with a new library of diverse content. In addition to Hollywood hits, customers can access short-form titles, kids’ content, original short form series and Vutopia world premieres. Plus, themed collections are offered each month along with “we recommend” guidance from Vutopia programmers.

Current examples of the hundreds of movies in the service are Hollywood favorites including “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” “28 Days,”  “Bugsy,” “Charlie’s Angels,” “Philadelphia,” “Donnie Brasco,” “All the Pretty Horses” and more. Many movies from the notable IFC library are available, such as “Touching the Void,” “Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work” and “The Trip,” plus the critically acclaimed “Carlos” mini-series.  Foreign film highlights include “Y Tu Mama Tambien,” “Hunger” and “Housemaid.”
