Time Warner Cable Metro Sports to Broadcast Kansas City T-Bones Game Friday

Game Marks Debut of Network’s HD Mobile Broadcast Studio

KANSAS CITY (August 10, 2011) –Area baseball fans will have additional viewing options this week, as American Association baseball is coming to Time Warner Cable Metro Sports.

On Friday, the Kansas City T-Bones will be hosting the Lincoln Saltdogs at 7 p.m. at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, and the game will be shown on Metro Sports in crystal-clear high-definition.

“We are always looking to highlight local teams that are of interest to our viewers,” Metro Sports General Manager Chris Huwe said. “The T-Bones have a great following, and we’re looking forward to doing a high-quality HD broadcast of their game on Friday night.”

The T-Bones have played their home games at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Kansas City, Kan. since 2003. The organization has been very successful both on and off the field, winning Organization of the Year in 2010, Field of the Year honors in both 2009 and 2010, and the Northern League title in 2008. The T-Bones also made the league championship series last season, falling to Fargo-Moorhead.

Metro Sports is available throughout the Kansas City area on Time Warner Cable (channel 30 and 310 and in HD on 1310), Comcast (channel 258) and Knology in Lawrence (channel 37).
