Time Warner Cable’s customers can review and enjoy extensive news coverage of President Barack Obama’s visit to the Capital Region on the company’s “Local On Demand” channel 1009 beginning Tuesday, Sept. 22.
Time Warner Cable’s Capital News 9 offered the most comprehensive live local coverage of the President’s visit to Hudson Valley Community College on Monday, Sept. 21. For those who missed it or want to watch again, the company is offering that complete coverage of his speech plus local reaction on its Local On Demand channel 1009.
Customers watching on-demand programming can start it when they want and then pause, rewind and fast-forward just as they would a videotape or DVD. The Local On Demand library of programming is free, offered as part of the suite of features included with the company’s Digital Cable package.
John Quigley, Regional Vice President of Operations for Time Warner Cable in Albany, said, “We’re proud of the coverage our Capital News 9 team provided and the technical support we were able to offer HVCC by our Time Warner Cable Business Class engineers and techs, on very short notice, to meet the technological demands of this historic visit.
“We’re even happier to offer our customers this on-demand opportunity to watch the President’s trip to our community again and again,” Quigley continued, “and believe our subscribers value and appreciate our growing and dedicated commitment to offer local programming like this.”
(NOTE: Digital Cable set-top box and service required to receive Video on Demand services.)
