New York, NY, August 18, 2005 – At a time when New York area Indians, Pakistanis and other South Asians observe independence, Time Warner Cable will mark the community’s celebrations by offering a collection of Bollywood movies through Movies On Demand.  Digital customers have the opportunity of choosing from a selection of 15 titles by simply tuning to Channel 1000.  Bollywood & Beyond On-Demand Festival runs through the end of September.

Bollywood & Beyond titles are $3.95 each and available to order at any time with unlimited access for 24 hours.  Viewers can pause, fast forward and rewind right from their remote controls for the ultimate in convenience.

The festival features leading Bollywood stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Mallika Sherawat, and titles include the critically acclaimed Chokher Bali as well as Khwahish, which has recently covered in the The New York Times for its controversial scenes.

• Khwahish starring Mallika Sherawat and Himanshu Malik
• Lakeer starring Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, Sohail Khan, John Abraham and Nauheed Cyrusi
• Madhoshi starring Bipasha Basu, John Abraham and Priyanshu Chatterjee

Also enjoy Masala Weekends on AZN Television (channel 500). Saturday and Sundays are devoted to the South Asian audience by showing Bollywood films, cricket, pop music and business news programs.
