New York, NY – June 10, 2010 – Time Warner Cable’s NYC Region will present an exclusive performance by salsa singer Huey Dunbar at the annual Puerto Rican Day Parade on its “El Paquetazo” float on Sunday, June 13.  Huey Dunbar is best known for his signature fusion of tropical music – Salsa, Reggae and Hip Hop/R&B which was influenced by his Puerto Rican and Jamaican roots.  Also joining Time Warner Cable is current World Boxing Organization’s Featherweight World Champion Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez.  The two-time world champion hails from Caguas, Puerto Rico. 

“The Parade is a shared celebration of Puerto Rican heritage with two million New Yorkers.   Dozens of our employees will accompany our float and experience the excitement of this festive day,” said Harriet Novet, Regional Vice President, Public Affairs, Time Warner Cable’s NYC Region. 

This marks the fifth consecutive year of participation by Time Warner Cable in this monumental community celebration.  The Parade travels along Fifth Avenue from 44th Street to 79th Street in Manhattan and begins at 11AM.

NY1 Noticias’ anchor Carleth Keys and reporter Jonathan Inoa will appear atop the company’s “El Paquetazo” float.  Reporter Alejandra Soto will report live from the parade route.  NY1 Noticias is Time Warner Cable’s 24-hour local Spanish-language news station.

El Paquetazo is an attractively priced digital video package designed to meet the evolving interests of the Latino cable viewer in New York City.  It combines the "best-of" Spanish-language channels with popular English-language networks.
