Truck Can Be Reserved For Block Parties and Public Events This Summer
New York, NY – Time Warner Cable is once again gearing up to serve ice cream in an effort to help raise money for children’s museums in the New York City area. For the suggested donation of $1 dollar per cup or cone, anyone can participate in the company’s unique fundraising initiative.
Last summer, over $14,500 was donated to the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Children’s Museum of Manhattan, New York Hall of Science in Queens and Staten Island Children’s Museum all raised through ice cream sales. These museums will once again be the beneficiaries of this campaign.
“Time Warner Cable’s ice cream truck campaign is designed to couple community goodwill with raising money in support of iconic educational institutions. By donating 100 percent of the proceeds to children’s museums, we’re helping fund some fantastic programs offered to young people throughout our communities,” said Bobby Amirshahi, Vice President of Communications in New York City.
In the past, Time Warner Cable’s ice cream truck appeared at events including Bryant Park’s Movies in the Park, Celebrate Brooklyn performing arts festival and Staten Island Borough President’s Starlight Concert Series. To request the ice cream truck to make an appearance at your event, call (877) SMMR –TWC (877-766-7892). The truck will visit many events around the city and is available for block parties and other outdoor public events from July 1 through August 21.
