Time Warner Cable to Present 3D Coverage of Golf Channel’s Sony Open Telecast on January 14 & 15

Kansas City (January 11, 2012) – Time Warner Cable (TWC) continues to deliver on its commitment to offer innovative viewing experiences to its customers by offering live 3D coverage of the 2012 Sony Open in Hawaii from Golf Channel. 3D content will be provided this Saturday and Sunday at no additional cost to customers who have access to Golf Channel, and will be available on TWC channel 1800 in the Kansas City area. 
Each January, the Sony Open in Hawaii attracts hundreds of the world's greatest golf professionals to the Waialae Country Club on the island of Oahu. It’s the first PGA Tournament of the season to feature a full field of players competing for a $5.5 million purse. The 3D coverage on Saturday, Jan. 14 and Sunday, Jan. 15 will offer vivid, live 3D images of rounds three and four that will give viewers an exciting new perspective on golf and a stunning look at the tournament’s picturesque Hawaii setting. 
Golf Channel’s Sony Open in Hawaii 3D coverage will be as follows:
Saturday, Jan. 14
6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. CT - Live coverage (back nine)
10:30 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. CT - Three-hour re-air
Sunday, Jan. 15
6 p.m. – 9 p.m. CT - Live coverage (back nine)
9 p.m. – 12 a.m. CT - Three-hour re-air
