San Diego, CA, May 20, 2008 –– Clara Long, Arnie Borromeo and Jared Ruth have been appointed to senior management positions at Time Warner Cable’s San Diego division.
As Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Clara Long is responsible for all marketing and brand positioning of the company throughout the San Diego division. Long oversees strategic marketing and sales initiatives, which are designed to maximize the success of all product lines – video, phone and high-speed data services.
Long has nearly 20 years experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Time Warner Cable, she spent six years at Cox Communications in Northern Virginia as Vice President of Marketing and Sales, where her primary responsibilities included heading new product introductions and testing, as well as implementing and managing quarterly marketing campaigns. In addition, she was instrumental in the high growth of digital video and high-speed internet customers while at Cox Communications. Long is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where she earned a BA degree in Economics and an MBA in Finance and Management Information Systems.
Arnie Borromeo has been appointed to the position of Controller. In that role, Borromeo oversees the division’s financial statement reporting, month-end closing, capital budgeting and reporting, accounts payable, payroll and other financial responsibilities.
Borromeo brings 17 years of accounting practice and financial management expertise to Time Warner Cable. Before joining the company, Borromeo was Director of Finance for Trango Systems, Inc and Z-Communications, Inc.
Borromeo earned his BS in Accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, as well as an MBA in Management Information Systems from San Diego State University. Borromeo is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. He is also a founding board member and secretary for Monterey Ridge Education Foundation, an organization dedicated to fundraising for Monterey Ridge Elementary School.
Jared Ruth joins the San Diego division as Director of Operations, Business Services. In that role, Ruth will oversee commercial service operations, including engineering, customer care, field services, finance and project management.
Ruth has more than ten years of successes in multiple industries, with an extensive background in strategic operations, marketing and sales. Before joining Time Warner Cable, Ruth launched business services and directed the day-to-day operations for Charter Business/Charter Communications for the Southern California Region (Los Angeles and Inland Empire markets). At Charter, Ruth was instrumental in launching Charter’s commercial phone service for Southern California.
Ruth earned a BS in Marketing from the Wilden School of Business & Administration at Azusa Pacific University. He is a member and proctor for the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE).
