Time Warner Cable (TWC) announced today a significant enhancement to its Home Phone service in Louisville/Southern Indiana with the addition of Caller ID on TV. Now, the name and number of the person calling will conveniently appear on customers’ TVs. Caller ID on TV is a free service available to TWC High-Definition TV and Home Phone customers.
Time Warner Cable area vice president Mark Dunford says customers will enjoy the convenience of the new service at no additional charge.
“Customers in Louisville/Southern Indiana will find this Home Phone enhancement invaluable, as it will help simplify their lives by allowing them to decide which calls to answer from the comfort of their favorite chair or sofa,” he said.
The new feature has been added to the entire TWC Louisville/Southern Indiana service area. Customers with High-Definition TV and Home Phone have the service today, and the service requires no additional steps to access it.
Caller ID on TV is compatible with all Time Warner Cable HD set-top boxes, except for Whole House DVR boxes; the feature is expected to be compatible with Whole House DVR service soon.
