Time Warner Cable SportsChannel to Televise NYSPHSAA Boys & Girls Lacrosse Championships Live Across New York State

Semi-final games will air on Wednesday, June 5, with Finals on Saturday, June 8

NY – As the official content distributor of New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) regional and state championship sports programming throughout New York state, Time Warner Cable will exclusively televise live NYSPHSAA boys and girls lacrosse championship games, with semi-final games airing on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel on Wednesday, June 5 and finals on Saturday, June 8.

Boys playoff lacrosse games will also be streamed live at and both boys and girls games will be available later on Time Warner Cable On Demand channels.

Time Warner Cable SportsChannel also aired this season’s NYSPHSAA boys and girls lacrosse section finals, regionals and quarterfinals live for viewers across New York. Additionally the network produced and aired high school football, basketball, lacrosse, wrestling and ice hockey championship events and profile pieces all season long. NYSPHSAA is the largest interscholastic sports organization in New York state, governing modified and high school athletics for more than 1,500 schools, including 782 high schools. NYSPHSAA oversees 35 interscholastic sports and 32 championship events annually. Through this new partnership, Time Warner Cable Sports will bring additional elements to the overall high school athletic experience benefiting the thousands of student athletes and their families involved in NYSPHSAA competitions.

The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) is the governing organization for interscholastic athletics in New York State. NYSPHSAA is the third largest state association in the country with 35 interscholastic sports and is responsible for nearly 600,000 student-athletes in its membership which spans over more than 1,500 junior and senior high schools.
