Connect a Million Minds®

The focus of Time Warner Cable’s commitment to community is Connect a Million Minds (CAMM), our $100 million cash and in-kind philanthropic initiative. Through CAMM, we leverage our strengths as a technology and media company to address America's declining proficiency in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), which puts our children at risk of not competing successfully in a global economy. We do this through original public service announcements and programming, grants to non-profit organizations that spark student interest in STEM, and our employees, who volunteer at science fairs, robotics competitions and other community events that offer hands-on STEM learning opportunities. Non-profit organizations interested in becoming CAMM partners can apply for grants here.

Employee Volunteerism

Time Warner Cable employees embrace the spirit of community service by volunteering with non-profits in the neighborhoods where they live and work. Whether an employee enjoys mentoring a robotics team on their own, or joining colleagues in an environmental clean-up project, our Employee Volunteer Program supports and encourages their community involvement.


To help facilitate these meaningful connections, TWC offers a volunteer portal (powered by that allows employees to find TWC volunteer events or search a vast number of opportunities to find those that correspond with their interests.

Internet Safety & Digital Literacy

As a media and entertainment provider, we are committed to helping our customers and their families consume content in a safe and responsible way. To support this commitment, we partner with Common Sense Media (CSM) – a best in class, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and educating families through information on media and technology.

Disaster Relief & Preparedness

Time Warner Cable is committed to helping our employees and customers when a natural disaster strikes. After Super Storm Sandy, our employees helped clean up debris in some of the hardest-hit areas and the company donated nearly $1 million to local Sandy relief efforts. During natural disasters such as Sandy, our employees make donations to the TWC Employee Disaster Relief Fund to help fellow employees impacted by a natural disaster.


In addition, TWC is focused on helping families prepare for a natural disaster. We partner with The Weather Channel to host “Connect with Weather” disaster preparedness events. The program combines best-in-class weather and science information from The Weather Channel with safety and preparedness tips from some of the nation’s top non-profit organizations including the American Red Cross.
