An indicator light on the front of your modem will glow when your battery is charged and operable. If the battery has little or no remaining charge, the light will blink or turn off.
You should check the condition of your modem battery at least twice a year. Simply unplug the modem from the electrical outlet and verify that you still have a dial tone on your telephone.
