Phone FAQs

How long will the battery work during a power outage?

Generally, a fully charged battery housed in a modem in a clean, dry and temperate location provides at least 8 hours of standby power to your modem, but that time will be lower if your battery is more than two 2 years old, or if your modem is kept in a hot, cold or dusty environment. For best results, batteries should be stored between 59°F and 77°F. To preserve battery life during a power outage, you should use your Phone service sparingly and avoid using Internet services.
