When should I disconnect with my former telephone provider?


If you are keeping your current phone number, you should not contact your phone service provider. You will need to continue the service from your current phone provider until we complete your Phone service installation. Once our installation is complete and your phone number is successfully transferred, we will contact your current phone service provider to ensure your previous phone service is disconnected.

If you ordered a new phone number from us and no longer desire service from your current provider, you will need to contact them to disconnect your service. We recommend that you disconnect your current service after the your Phone service installation is complete so that you are not without phone service.

Important! Vonage customers are required to personally call Vonage as soon as their Phone service installation is complete.
